Game Music Connect Adds Several New Sessions

Game Art Connect has announced several new sessions that will debut at this year's Game Music Connect conference. Music fans can now get tickets for the event and learn about the art of creating today's video game soundtracks.

Game Art Connect Ltd today revealed additional sessions for its debut Game Music Connect conference to be held at Southbank Centre's Purcell Room, London on September 9, 2013. The final sessions to be announced include an exclusive opening presentation, "Immersion and Engagement - What We Can Learn From Film", by noted composer and academic, Professor Stephen Deutsch (The Media School - Bournemouth University, National Film & Television School) and two star-studded composer panels (with audience Q&A) addressing a wide variety of issues pertaining to the art and business of composing music for games.


Game Music Connect is created for aspiring and professional composers of all backgrounds and those interested in learning about the art and science of composing today's cutting edge video game soundtracks. The premiere Game Music Connect event features the composers of some of the best-loved multi-million selling video game franchises including Halo, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Killzone, and Dead Space, as well as top audio directors from Bungie, Jagex, Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment.Tickets are available to purchase online at www.gamemusicconnect.com/registration/.

The final sessions to be announced for Game Music Connect on September 9 include:

"CROSSTALK"
Examining the art and business of being a game composer. Game Music Connect gets up-close and personal with the guests. A wide-ranging discussion and audience Q&A about what it takes to become a game composer and continue working in an increasingly competitive industry. Featuring the game composer's viewpoint on day-to-day working practices, relationships with game teams and music integration, general terms and conditions of business plus the challenges for composers associated with the rising tide of smart phone and tablet-based game productions.
