LeadingAge HackFest Arrives In Dallas This October

LeadingAge HackFest is set to arrive in Dallas, TX for two days on October 25th. Hackers and members of the community will come together to form teams and build amazing hacks. Read on.

On October 25-27 2013, the first annual LeadingAge HackFest in Dallas, TX will challenge participants to “Engage with Age” by creating a technology-driven tool to improve the lives of older adults and their families. The HackFest is part of the annual meeting hosted by LeadingAge, an association of more than 6,000 not-for-profit aging services providers nationwide.

For two days, hackers and members from the aging services community from all over the country will come together to form teams and build incredible hacks. This will be a unique opportunity for people of different disciplines and backgrounds to collaborate and develop a tool that could improve the aging experience.

At LeadingAge HackFest, participants will have the opportunity to:

• Build their portfolios
• Network and work collaboratively with peers from diverse disciplines
• Win cash and other prizes (first prize is $5,000)
• Network with team sponsors
