Lenore - Purple Nurples Vol. 5 (Graphic Novel Review)

Titan books introduced readers to Roman Dirge's horrifying and entertaining world almost a year ago and fans have been eating it up ever since. The fifth collection entitled Lenore: Purple Nurples from Roman Dirge continues with the insanely cute undead girl we all love. The underrated comic series is magically horrifying and continues to be one of the best out there.

The story follows the undead Lenore and her group of weird, macabre friends in the town of Nevermore. The series starts out with "Beware the Creepig Creeping/Wrath of the Creepig" where Lenore and her friends fight against the devious Creepig. This evil entity will take out anyone who dares to eat pork after midnight! Muhahaha. The writer manages to deliver a ingenious resolution to the belief that the Creepig can't be killed and manages to tie up loose ends perfectly.

Creepig is ultimately the best story of the fifth collection. Next we have "The Dweller in the Fridge" where the crew tries to find a dead clown in the mansion and a couple of Doctor Who references appear here. Lastly, we have "King for a Day!" which has Lenore setting out on a quest to show her new bug the time of his life since it is his last day alive. However, things just don't seem to go as planned and things go horrifyingly wrong!

The collection also contains tons of bonus content which spans over ten pages that includes the first ever drawing of Lenore, guest art and much more. All-in-all, Lenore: Purple Nurples is an entertainingly exquisite book full of beautiful illustrations and fun stories. The characters are creepy and over-the-top but somehow are still unbelievably loveable. If you have been looking for a horror graphic novel that will keep you laughing then check out Lenore: Purple Nurples today! We can't wait to see what Roman Dirge digs up for us next!
