Nintendo eShop Reveals New Sales and New Game Releases this Week

Nintendo of America announced today new content coming to Nintendo eShop over the next week. The digital download service will have the upcoming release of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist available as a day one download for Nintendo Wii U beginning on August 20, 2013. Nintendo also announced the new release of Galaga for Nintendo Wii U is ready for download via Nintendo eShop starting today.

Nintendo eShop will also be featuring sales on two great games including BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien for only $11.25 through 9 AM PST on August 29, 2013. Developer Gaijin Games has dropped the price of their hit game to celebrate the release of the new DLC, Good Friends Character Pack that adds other indie favorites to the game as playable characters including the Spelunky guy, Dr. Fetus from Super Meat Boy and more.

Trine 2: Director's Cut will also be on sale this week until 9 AM PST for only $7.99. The side-scrolling action game has become a hit on downloadable marketplaces for its creative physics-based puzzles and great graphical design.

Other games releasing for Nintendo eShop include Donkey Kong for Virtual Console, 10-in-1: Arcade Collection, Barbie: Groom & Glam Pups, Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D and My Western Horse 3D all on Nintendo 3DS.
