Rockstar Reveals Multiplayer for Grand Theft Auto V Online

Developer Rockstar Games has revealed the multiplayer coming to Grand Theft Auto V's online world. The newest trailer for the game shows off many new features coming to online play in Grand Theft Auto V including online missions with non-playable characters created for the game mode, heists and robberies, an ability to purchase property and stored vehicles online, a custom map editor and much more. Rockstar also states in the video, that the online world will allow for up to 16 players to join a single session and the world will be persistent and constantly updated with new content from the developer.

There will be plenty of things to do in the online world of Grand Theft Auto V including traditional, structured missions and events inspired by the players' actions. Players can team up in crews and battle against other players or the world, rob a bank or go perform a variety of death-defying stunts anytime they choose. Grand Theft Auto V's online world will feature its own storyline full of unique characters that will make the experience feel just as authentic as the single player campaign. A content editor showe that players will also be able to create their own races and deathmatch arenas, play test them and share them with the Grand Theft Auto V community, or players can access the best content other users have created and play for themselves. Grand Theft Auto V is now available for preorder from most major retailers for the MSRP of $59.99 and is scheduled to release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013.
