Solar Flux HD Arriving For Mobile Devices This Summer

Firebrand Games has revealed that Solar Flux HD will arrive for mobile devices later this summer. The puzzle game will have players travel across the vast darkness of space while they solve intricate puzzles along the way.

From the Press Release
Independent developer Firebrand Games is pleased to unveil the first details of its upcoming mobile title, Solar Flux HD, a puzzle game that takes players into the farthest reaches of the cosmos. Set in 2107, the universe is in a state of decay. Solar Flux HD lets players travel across vast and untamed space, solving intricate puzzles along the way. On a mission to save dying stars from extinction, intergalactic challenges await, as players must successfully deliver fragments of plasma to the dying suns to restore their state of equilibrium.

“We combined classic puzzle mechanics with the beauty and mysteries that lie outside our world,” says Lead Designer Clive Lawrence. “The Firebrand team has always been obsessed with the wonders of outer space and we set out to create a compelling game that can harness that enthusiasm.”

Simple to play but with a lot of depth, players will have to become adept at using the physical properties of space on their journey. Examples include using gravitational fields and orbits to slingshot around planets, stars and moons, riding solar flares and using planetary shadows. Whilst the heavens are awe inspiring, they are not without perils. Dangerous asteroids, black holes and scorching suns can prove to be extremely destructive to even the most accomplished space traveler. Presented in full retina, high-definition 3D graphics, players can explore 4 immense galaxies and take on over 80 missions across the solar systems.

Coming to the iPad later this summer, blast off into a universe of fun in Solar Flux HD!
