Leading mobile game developer PlayFirst, in cooperation with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, today announced the release of the official mobile game for Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, in theaters September 27. Free for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and on Google Play, the fast-paced arcade puzzle game features beloved characters from the film series, including brainy inventor Flint Lockwood and his lab partner Steve the Monkey, on their perilous quest through the island of Swallow Falls. Throughout the game, players encounter and rescue foodimals, food-animal hybrids, and must chain and match as many of them as possible in sixty seconds to complete goals and progress through the island.
To conquer the most challenging of objectives, players can rely on Flint’s wild and ingenious inventions such as the Celebrationator and the Foodbar Unwrapifier. As they make their way across the island, players will unlock one-of-a-kind collectibles and gain access to exciting new environments like Cheespider Lair and Pickle Village, where fans of both the film and all things adorable will be thrilled to encounter a variety of new delightfully delectable foodimals and game modes.
