PlanetSide 2 Kicks Off With The World Domination Series: Preseason Challenge

Sony Online Entertainment has announced the World Domination Series (WDS): Preseason Challenge event for players of PlanetSide 2. The event will run five weeks which ends on October 20th and allow players to complete in weekly challenges to earn points for their chosen empire. Read on.

PlanetSide 2 players are some of the most passionate and vocal groups, remaining fiercely loyal to the Empire of their choice. Embodying the competitive spirit and skill of its players, today Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) is kicking off its World Domination Series (WDS): Preseason Challenge event for PlanetSide 2 players!

The WDS: Preseason Challenge will run for five weeks through October 20, 2013. Aided by the developers -- Adam Clegg (New Conglomerate), Taylor Dowell (Vanu Sovereignty) and Dave Bennett (Terran Republic) -- players will compete in weekly challenges in game to earn points for their chosen Empire and vie for territory dominance. Points will be earned 24/7, and acquired by capturing facilities and outposts, and holding them for set durations of time.

SOE will tally points and announce Empire standings each week, and at the end of the preseason an Empire will be crowned the overall series victor. The winning Empire will be rewarded with a unique in-game item to remind others that New Conglomerate, Terran Republic or Vanu Sovereignty reigns supreme.
