Pokémon X&Y Themed Nintendo 3DS XL Coming to North America Later this Month

Nintendo of America announced today during the Nintendo Direct press event that a Pokémon X&Y themed Nintendo 3DS XL handheld console will be coming to North America territories on the same day the console is released in Europe. Fans can pick up their limited edition system on September 27, 2013 or preorder a system today from select retailers for only $199.99.

The release date of the system will have it arriving two weeks before the game's official release on October 12, 2013, and it will not come packed with a copy of Pokémon X or Pokémon Y, though Nintendo still may announce a free game download with purchase similar to the Pikachu Yellow console promotion earlier this year. The new Pokémon X&Y system features the two Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal and will come in two variant colors: red or blue. Preorder your special Pokémon X&Y themed Nintendo 3DS XL, and catch 'em all when Pokémon X and Pokémon Y arrives in October!
