Sony has announced a slimmer PlayStation Vita model that will arrive on October 10, 2013 in Japan. The new system has not been announced for North America but is expected to be announced soon and will retail at $200, which is similar to its announced 18,890 yen in Japan. Sony also announced a new memory card that will support 64 GB of storage.
The all new PlayStation Vita model has been quoted as being 20% thinner and 15% lighter than the original PlayStation Vita model, and the new system will come packed with plenty of new features including a 5" LCD screen, 1 GB of internal memory and increased battery life. The new PlayStation Vita model will also be available in six different colors as shown during its announcement in grey, white, black, yellow, pink and light blue hues.
