Thrustmaster Announces Y-250CPX Gaming Headset

The Thrustmaster company has announced the upcoming release of their newest gaming headset known as the Y-250CPX model. The new headset will provide the ultimate in comfort and high quality audio input and output and will be functional with PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac gaming platforms. The Y-250CPX is now available for preorder for the MSRP of $89.99 and is scheduled to arrive in October 2013, so read on for more details and purchase your Y-250CPX gaming headset today!

With its distinct Y-shaped design, the Y-250CPX clearly shows that it is a staple in the Thrustmaster gaming headsets range. It combines the best sound, aesthetics, and design of its predecessors – the Y-250P, Y-250X and Y-250C models – in a single product compatible with PlayStation 3, PC, Mac and Xbox 360. Thanks to its detachable cable, it can be used with a wide range of other devices including the Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, MP3 players, tablets and smartphones. It can even be used for making phone calls!

The Y-250CPX’s major strength, apart from its multi-faceted compatibility, rests in the ultra high-performance audio rendering that it provides, thanks to Thrustmaster’s R&D team and their 20 years of audio expertise. “Powered by Hercules” audio technology incorporates premium 50 mm drivers built into the Y-250CPX, ensuring unparalleled sound reproduction and a crystal-clear audio experience. The evidence is found in the headset’s smooth and stable frequency response curve: it shows a perfect balance between bass, medium and treble, providing a serious competitive advantage in gaming sessions. The Y-250CPX’s extremely high-quality audio performance is also a direct result of Electro-acoustic bass amplifier technology (allowing for double electro-acoustic amplification of bass frequencies), thanks to the ear-cups’ unique design, combined with electronic bass amplification built into the controller unit.

In addition to its superior audio quality, the Y-250CPX also ensures comfort and effective passive isolation by way of its large, ultra-soft earpads. The headset provides not only physical comfort, but also ease of use, via the multifunctional controller on its 17 foot / 5.20 m cable: this handy controller lets users independently adjust the game volume, bass level, the voice level of other players, and the level of their own voice as well. You can even choose to cancel your voice within the headset during your gaming sessions. And then, there’s the microphone: featuring perfect sensitivity and unidirectional technology, it has been designed to focus on the user’s voice, for optimal communication with team members. The microphone is detachable and adjustable, allowing it to easily adapt to all head sizes and shapes.
