Sony Online Entertainment Announces Lineup of Special Halloween Events For Its Online Titles

SOE has announced a slew of promotions to celebrate the Halloween Season for such online titles as DC Universe Online, Dragon's Prophet, EverQuest, EverQuest II, Free Realms, PlanetSide 2, Wizardry Online, Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, and Vanguard Saga of Heroes.

From the Press Release

From now through early November, players will be tricked or treated to in-game Halloween events, activities and promotional items, varying in each game. For the first time, this year's treats will feature Halloween items created through Player Studio, SOE's program offering players the opportunity to create (and profit from) in-game items to sell in the marketplace of their favorite participating title. Players are encouraged to login daily as to not miss any of the festivities!

Halloween events and promotions include:

Heroes will be tasked with stopping the dangerous apparitions, while Villains will work to cause even more trouble. Ultimately, players will be challenged to enter the Goth club, "The Midnight Masquerade," and take down Klarion, who has managed to increase his power by stealing the abilities of magic Heroes and Villains. Additionally, players will be able to participate in new feats and earn new rewards, including style items, like the Skeleton Outfit and Witch Hat, tons of base items, and a new pet -- Boo Junior.
