The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Swinging into Retailers Next Spring

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be arriving in theaters beginning in Spring 2014 from Sony Pictures Entertainment, and game developer Beenox and publisher Activision will once again bring the world a new action adventure title for all major consoles as part of the The Amazing Spider-Man video game series. The game will once again place players in the role of the legendary superhero Spider-Man, while they free roam the open world of Manhattan while learning more about Peter Parker and his extraordinary life. Players can unlock and upgrade new skills for Spider-Man, and a new feature known as the Hero or Menace System will force players to play the game in a completely different way. "The first The Amazing Spider-Man game gave players their own beautifully animated, free-roaming city of Manhattan to traverse and explore — a playground of majestic scale in which to live out our common hero fantasies," said Thomas Wilson, Co-Studio Head of Beenox. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is now available for preorder from select retailers for the MSRP of $59.99 and is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC in Spring 2014.
