Mental Workout App Now Available for Mobile Devices

Mental Workout has announced the release of its free Mental Workout app for Android devices. The Mental Workout app offers a full collection of Mental Workout programs with the first two programs available being the Mindfulness Meditation and Freedom from Stress. Mental Workout, a company bringing the power of mobile technology and the world of psychology together to improve people’s lives, today announced the availability of its free Mental Workout mobile app for Android devices. The Mental Workout app delivers a top-quality user experience, a clean, intuitive interface, and the full collection of Mental Workout programs. Users can now access their program subscriptions seamlessly on Android devices and iPhones, as well as on mentalworkout.com.

The first two programs available in the app are Mindfulness Meditation and Freedom from Stress - both created with Stephan Bodian, world-renowned meditation teacher, best-selling author, and licensed psychotherapist, with a specialty in stress management. Each program provides an interactive and personalized experience with video and audio content and costs $16.99 for a one-year subscription. Programs are updated regularly and automatically, based on new research, user feedback, and usage patterns.

  • Mindfulness Meditation features six guided mindfulness meditations of different lengths, brief introductory mindfulness exercises, body scans, relaxation exercises, instructions on how to meditate and improve on practice, eight short teachings on the integration of mindfulness into everyday life, and an eight-week intensive meditation plan.
  • Freedom from Stress is a comprehensive, multi-strategy program offering varying techniques and approaches for relieving stress, including instant relief tips, 30-day plan, suggestions for lifestyle changes, and a total of 18 guided exercises and meditations..

The next wave of programs, to be released in Fall 2013 and beyond, will help users sleep better, lose weight, improve social interactions and relationships, and quit smoking. Mental Workout has exclusive partnerships with top-ranked experts to create these programs, including Dr. Michael Breus, Dr. Ann Kearney-Cooke, Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener, Dr. Todd Kashdan, and Dr. Daniel Seidman.
