No Starch Press Announces The LEGO Adventure Volume 2

No Starch Press has announced Volume 2 of The LEGO Adventure Book which includes over 100 example models of hot rods, muscle cars, tug boats and more. Read on.

From the Press Release
Volume 2 of The LEGO Adventure Book (No Starch Press, November 2013, 4C, hardcover, 196 pp., $24.95, ISBN 9781593275129) continues the best-selling LEGO Adventure Book series with more imaginative models to spark the creative process. Megs and her trusty robot companion, Brickbot, take the reader on a guided tour through different genres of LEGO building as they visit LEGO-built cities, a movie set, a pirate hideaway, a medieval village, and even a post-apocalyptic junkyard.

This beautifully produced hardcover book showcases work from some of the world's most prominent LEGO builders, including over 100 example models of hot rods, muscle cars, tug boats, galleons, medieval villages, gas stations, and modern kitchens. The 40 step-by-step breakdowns make it easy for readers to build their own models like:

  • A tanker truck with smoke stacks and an exposed engine
  • A Tudor-style gingerbread house with unique window and roof accents
  • The Havoc starfighter
  • An ultra-detailed ferry, scaled to fit LEGO minifigures and vehicles
  • A functioning catapult and a fortress like watchtower
  • A multi passenger, interstellar space bus

According to No Starch Press publisher Bill Pollock, "The LEGO Adventure Book series takes the readers inside the imagination of the world's most creative LEGO builders, feeding their creative energy in the process. This is design thinking at its best."

The LEGO Adventure Book, Vol. 2 is available in bookstores everywhere, just in time for the holidays.
