The CHA 2014 Conference and Trade Show Coming January 2014

The Craft & Hobby Association has announced the CHA 2014 Conference and Trade Show which will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center from January 10-14, 2014. The show will bring celebrities and crafts together with appearances from Vanna White, Leeza Gibbons and many more. Read on.

The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA), the award-winning international trade association for the design, manufacture, distribution and sales of products in the nearly $30 billion craft and hobby industry, introduced today the world’s largest international crafting show -- the CHA 2014 Conference and Trade Show, held January 10-14, 2014 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. CHA 2014 will bring together the entire crafts and creative industry for four days, with retailers small and large, independent chains, and vendors from across the world. CHA 2014 features over 450 exhibitors with the leading innovations in crafting with a New Product Showcase, Hot 20 Product award, and VIP Event.


CHA 2014: Innovation – Education – Community
The premier place to see the newest in the growing crafting and hobby industry, from scrapbooking, sewing, fabrics, paper, mailings, gifts, stickers, and more, CHA 2014 is the trade show authority for crafting, with a focus on innovation, community and education. A dynamic marketplace for crafting businesses, CHA 2014 offers opportunities to network with and learn from other industry professionals.

Bringing Celebrities & the Crafting Community Together
CHA 2014 will bring celebrities and the crafting community together, with appearances with Wheel of Fortune host and knitting enthusiast Vanna White for Lion Brand Yarn Company, America Now TV host and scrapbooker Leeza Gibbons for Prima Marketing, and Inside Edition host and crafter, Deborah Norville for Premier Yarns, among others. The TV celebrities will appear at the show to talk about their love of crafting and techniques and launch new lines of yarn and scrapbooking products.

“Hot 20 Products” Awards
Twenty products will be chosen for the “Hot 20 Products” Awards at CHA 2014. Last year, “Hot 20 Products” Awards were given to new crafting innovations, including Martha Stewart Crafts™ Glass Paint, specially formulated permanent premium paints that are dishwasher safe and UV/weather resistant; FixNZip, a patented slider device that fixes zippers without tools; and Spellbinders Imperial Gold, four dimensional die templates that cut, emboss, stencil and deboss in multiple layers.

Special Events & Charity Projects
CHA 2014 will also include numerous opportunities for networking at after-hours special events, including the Foundation Gala supporting CRE8TIME - the CHA Foundation’s consumer outreach program, Block Party musical event every day after the show, and Retailer Round Tables. In addition, new charity projects will be launched at the show, such as The “Banners of Hope” Project, which features fabrics-based banners created during the CHA 2014 show to express messages of hope and encouragement in a subtle artistic format. These banners will be displayed in public locations after the show to benefit those in challenging circumstances. CHA 2014 will feature a “Banners of Hope Project” construction zone to make these banners and offer advice on how to replicate the inspirational program in cities across the U.S. and internationally.
