Christina Aguilera's The Voice Performance Will Feature Song From The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Soundtrack

NBC Entertainment has announced that Christina Augilera will be performing her song "We Remain" from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack on December 10th on The Voice. Read on.

From the Press Release
Coach Christina Aguilera will perform “We Remain,” off the soundtrack of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” on the Tuesday, Dec. 10 live episode (9-10 p.m. ET/PT) of “The Voice.” In addition, artists from seasons past will return to the Emmy Award-winning musical competition series. Winners Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery, as well as finalists the Swon Brothers and Michelle Chamuel will perform. Aguilera, who also served as a coach on “The Voice” for the first three seasons of the show, has sold over 50 million albums worldwide and recorded six #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Billboard named Aguilera as the top female artist of 2000 and 2003 and Rolling Stone named her one of the 30 best voices of our decade. In 2013 she was named as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.

She will sing “We Remain,” which was written by both Aguilera and OneRepublic founder Ryan Tedder — recently named the show’s in-house producer. The song is featured on the soundtrack of the current box office hit “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” Pope is one of only two solo women in the past five years to top the country chart with a debut release — “Frame by Frame” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and reached No. 1 on the iTunes country charts. The single “Wasting All These Tears” has sold 1.7 million tracks. She will perform “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart” from her “Frame by Frame” album.

As a member of Blake Shelton’s team, Pope won the third season of “The Voice” and recently received a nomination for new artist of the year at the American Country Awards. She went on tour with Rascal Flatts as their opening act and will tour again in 2014. At 17 years old, Bradbery is the reigning champ of “The Voice,” having won last season as a member of Shelton’s team. Shelton, in fact, called her, “The most important artist to ever walk across ‘The Voice’ stage.” Bradbery made several appearances on Shelton’s tour and also recently opened for Brad Paisley. On Nov. 25 Bradbery recently released her self-titled debut album on Big Machine Records and will perform “Never Like This” from the disc.

The Oklahoma born and raised Swon Brothers — Zach and younger brother Colton — were finalists in season four of “The Voice” as part of Shelton’s team. They have signed a recording deal with Arista Nashville after years of recording music on their own label. They will sing “Later On,” from their upcoming debut album that is set to be released in 2014. Chamuel was a beloved member of Coach Usher’s team in season four of “The Voice” and reached the final telecast with a second-place finish. The bespectacled songstress will sing her recently released first single, “Go Down Singing.” Prior to her time on “The Voice,” Chamuel fronted the electronic rock band Ella Riot.

“The Voice” has led NBC to frequent Monday and Tuesday wins among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 so far this season, with NBC ranking #1 or tied for #1 for eight of nine weeks on both Monday and Tuesday nights among those networks season to date. In “most current” season averages through Nov. 17, the Monday edition of “The Voice” has averaged a 5.1 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49 and 15.2 million viewers overall, tying it as the #3 primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and making it the #1 unscripted series.

“The Voice” is a presentation of Mark Burnett’s One Three Inc., Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who executive produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.
