From the Press Release
GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc., a multiplatform publisher for the online gaming community and publisher of the highly successful mobile title Puzzle & Dragons , today announced the worldwide release of Dokuro to the App Store and Google Play.

Combining side-scrolling puzzle action with an appealing chalk-art story book aesthetic, Dokuro tells the bittersweet story of a skeletal minion who rebels against his Dark Lord and attempts to rescue an imprisoned princess. Players aid the characters’ escape through a variety of gimmicks, including transforming Dokuro into a swashbuckling hero and drawing lines of chalk to bypass pits and other obstacles. Dokuro’s path is barred by numerous fiendish traps and formidable enemies, requiring both brain power and quick reflexes on the part of the player.

Originally released to the PlayStation®Vita in July 2012, the game’s quirky appearance, unique characters, and original story quickly attracted both dedicated fans and critical acclaim. IGN Entertainment named Dokuro “Best PS Vita Puzzle Game,” with other reviewers awarding titles including “Original Game of the Year 2012” and “Best Platformer.”

Dokuro was developed by industry veterans Game Arts, whose popular titles include Ragnarok Odyssey for the PS Vita, the Grandia and LUNAR series for home gaming consoles, and SILPHEED for mobile devices.

The smartphone edition of Dokuro faithfully preserves the chalk art style, characters, and story of the original release, adding virtual controls that both deliver an intuitive smartphone-optimized experience and console-style ease of play. For devices running iOS 7.0 or later, Dokuro is also compatible with the upcoming game controller (sold separately), offering even more direct control of the action onscreen. While boasting all of the content of the original PS Vita version, the smartphone edition’s difficulty and level structure have been newly tuned for touchscreens, resulting in an even more approachable game.
