Meet The Cast of The Walking Dead At Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con 2014

Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con will take place on February 7-9, 2014. Several celebrities will be in attendance including the stars of The Walking Dead (Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Jon Bernthal and Michael Rooker) alongside Stan Lee, Linda Hamilton, and Alan Tudyk. Read on.

Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Jon Bernthal and Michael Rooker of “The Walking Dead,” Robert Englund (“Freddy Kruger” of A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Eisner Award Hall of Famer Stan Lee are among the popular celebrities scheduled to attend Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, February 7-9 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The standout lineup will also include John Ratzenberger (“Cheers,” Toy Story), WWE® Diva AJ Lee™, Linda Hamilton (Terminator, Beauty and the Beast), Alan Tudyk (“Serenity,” Wreck it Ralph) and many others. It is the second of 16 events currently scheduled in the 2014 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known comics artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.


Reedus, Yeun, Englund, Bernthal and Tudyk will appear on Saturday and Sunday, Feb 8-9. Stan Lee will attend on Friday and Saturday; AJ Lee will appear on Saturday; and Rooker, Hamilton and Ratzenberger are scheduled for all three days. This marks the fourth Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con; successful events were held at the Morial Convention Center in January 2011, January 2012 and November 2012.

Superstar comics creators scheduled to attend include Mike Zeck (“Spider-Man,” “Punisher”), Jim Cheung (“Avengers vs. X-Men,” “Iron Man”), 13-time Eisner Award Winner Mike Mignola (“Hellboy,” “Batman”), Humberto Ramos (“Amazing Spider-Man,” “Impulse”), Eisner Award Hall of Famer Marv Wolfman (“DCU Online,” “Crisis on Infinite Earths”), Phil Ortiz (“The Simpsons,” “Muppet Babies”) and 50+ others to date, with additional talented writers and artists to be announced.

Other headline celebrities on the New Orleans Comic Con roster include Henry Winkler (“Happy Days,” The Waterboy), Jason David Frank (“Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers”), Michael Biehn (Terminator, Aliens), Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “Stars Earn Stripes”), “Elvira” Cassandra Peterson (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark) and Pam Grier (“Smallville,” Jackie Brown).

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con show hours are Friday, Feb. 7, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 8, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

A first-class lineup of topical programming takes place all three days at the event, with celebrity Q&A's, comics-themed sessions, costume contest, movie screenings, evening parties and more. Sunday, Feb. 9, is also Kids Day, with an array of activities and programming specially designed for the younger Wizard World fans.

New Orleans Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor, often stopping by the Show Stage, the ideal place to see and be seen.
