Save 50% On Marc Eckō's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure On Steam

Marc Eckō's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure is now available on Steam for PC at a 50% savings which will allow fans to pick up the title for the low price of $7.49. The game allows players to step into the shoes of toy graffiti artist Trane as they try to gain rep to become All City King. Read on to learn more.

From the Press Release
Before Banksy was selling art in Central Park for 10 bucks a pop, graffiti artist and pop culture icon (and nice dude) Marc Ecko released Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure in 2006 to much fanfare on Xbox, PS2 and PC. With a mind-blowing soundtrack that won Best Video Game Soundtrack from the MTV Video Music awards, fans can nab this bad boy for just $7.49 (half off the regular $14.99 price tag) as Devolver Digital, purveyors of fine indie content, have propped it up on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/260190.

Play as Trane, a "toy" graffiti artist with the street smarts, athletic prowess and vision to become an "All City King" - the most reputable of all graffiti artists. Along your quest, uncover the mayor's deep, dark secret and use your fighting talents and high-wire graffiti to expose the city's leader as a corrupt tyrant.

As you struggle to save a neighborhood from an oppressive government, one question stands out: What if graffiti could change the world? Risk your life battling city authorities and rival graffiti gangs - mere obstacles in your attempt to get your tag up. And in this city, not just any tag will do. You have to "Get IN, Get UP and Get OUT".

"As we plan the next evolution of our beloved franchise, we are excited to re-release the original Getting Up to a new audience via Steam in partnership with Devolver Digital,” said Marc Ecko.“Devolver Digital has released every cutting edge game I have played in the last year, and I could not think of a better partner.”

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups. The fair's massive Ferris Wheel towered high in the sky and helped light up the event, while the Moby Dick ride and Gravitron also looked fearsome and stood tall even from a distance. Plenty of ...
