Shadow Warrior Gets Free Survival Mode Update Alongside Crossover With Rise of Triad

Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital has announced that Shadow Warrior has received a new update that adds the free Survival Mode. Are you ready to slice your way through enemies in new custom battle arenas? Also a new partnership with Interceptor Entertainment and Apogee Software brings a crossover of magic to both Shadow Warrior and Rise of Triad. Read on.

From the Press Release
After intense negotiations between developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital’s shadowy Future Profits Division, the katana-filled and blood-soaked Shadow Warrior has been updated with an all-new and absolutely free Survival Mode. Budding katana masters will be able to slice, shoot, and crash through an incredible onslaught of raging enemies in three custom-built battle arenas in the game’s latest update.

Not content with just one super sweet update, Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital have partnered with Interceptor Entertainment and Apogee Software to bring some crossover magic to both Shadow Warrior and Rise of the Triad. Starting today, gamers will be able to use Rise of the Triad’s Excalibat as an alternative katana in Shadow Warrior and in turn step in to the shoes of Shadow Warrior’s Lo Wang in Rise of the Triad’s insane multiplayer modes.

“Enjoy the free content, nerds,” remarked Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “Don’t forget my holiday cheer and festive giving of free stuff next year when I jack up prices on some face-melting indie games.”

Shadow Warrior is now available on Steam, GOG, and Humble Store and will be discounted to varying degrees of insanity all holiday season. For more information on Shadow Warrior follow @_ShadowWarrior on Twitter or visit www.shadowwarrior.com.
