Fight Night Kicks Off Today With Super Street Fighter IV Competition

Web-based eSports broadcast platform ESGNTV and Capcom are proud to present the next battle-tastic edition of "Fight Night." Airing Monday, Jan. 27, at 12:30 p.m. PST / 3:30 p.m. EST, ESGN begins its officially supported Super Street Fighter IV series that brings together some of the best Street Fighter competitors from across the world.


From the living room to the studio in the beautiful city of Babelsberg (close to Berlin), Germany, Street Fighters from the five main capitals of the Fighting Games Community come together to sit on the couch and beat each other up for a chance to win $25,000.

Commentators Ryan "Gootecks" Gutierrez and Nick "Tasteless" Plott will join your staple host, Dan "Frodan" Chou, to show you all the beat 'em up action that your heart could desire on the upcoming ESGN "Fight Night": Super Street Fighter IV edition.

Fighting fans from across the globe should not miss this episode as players from around the world, such as Ho Kun "Xian" Xian, Hajime "Tokido" Taniguchi, Seonwoo "Infiltration" Lee, Ryan Hart, Ryan "FChamp" Pagkaliwangan, Olivier "Luffy" Hay, Alioune "Alioune" Camara and Mike Ross battle to win the coveted $25,000 cash prize.

The first match on Monday will be decided between Ho Kun "Xian" Xian and Mike Ross.

Prior to the "Fight Night" episodes, viewers will join ESGNTV Anchorman Dan "Frodan" Chou live during "ESGN TV Daily News" at 12:00 p.m PST / 3 p.m. EST for a quick 30-minute breakdown of the latest in eSports news.

Following the daily live news broadcast, "Fight Night" starts at 12:30 p.m. PST with the competition running 90 minutes. "ESGN TV Daily News" and "Fight Night" will continue every day throughout the week (same air times), bringing fans consistent, TV production-quality content with the most notable players in eSports.

All available episodes of "Fight Night" will be replayed regularly, respectively, with each also being available as video-on-demand (VOD) through the ESGNTV.com channel via YouTube after their first rerun.
