Coverage begins with NHL Live, NBC Sports Group’s live NHL pre-game and post-game studio show, on-site at Yankee Stadium at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage of Wednesday night’s NHL Stadium Series matchup begins with an episode of NHL Rivals on Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, highlighting the feud between the Islanders and Rangers that began in 1972.
Wednesday night’s game is the fourth meeting of the season between the Islanders and Rangers. The Islanders hold a 2-1 advantage in the season series, including a 5-3 victory over the Rangers at Madison Square Garden last Tuesday, where John Tavares (Team Canada) assisted on the game-tying and game-winning goals in the come-from-behind win.
