Rekoil Now Available On PC Via Steam for $14.99

505 Games and Plastic Piranha have announced the release of Rekoil for $14.99 on PC via Steam. Players will enter a world that has been destroyed by a merciless pandemic in this multiplayer arena shooter. Rekoil features 10 maps, 40 different weapons and much more. Read on.

505 Games, a global publisher of video games, and Plastic Piranha today announced the launch of Rekoil on Windows PC via Steam by Valve Corporation for $14.99.


Set in a world devastated by an unrelenting pandemic, Rekoil is a multiplayer hardcore balanced arena shooter that allows mass battles up to 24 players. Developed by a modder for new and experienced modders, the game features full mod tools as well as seven different game modes, 10 maps, and 40 different weapons, all focused on infantry based combat across a number of different locations. From the fast moving Assault class, to the heavily armed and dangerous Heavy Gunner class, Rekoil was made for those who desire balanced FPS gameplay with a large variety of different play styles.

Rekoil supports customizable servers and was developed with eSports in mind. The game features all of the functionality required to properly facilitate competitive events. Full spectator mode will be present for casting and commentary needs, direct Twitch TV integration for streamers to broadcast from within the game, LAN support for tournaments, and for event organizers and video directors, replay functionality will be in place to allow players to review a match after the fact.

Aspiring level designers and game developers can enter the Rekoil map making competition here with full contest details available here. Entrants must submit their maps by the deadline of midnight PST on March 7, 2014. Each level submission will be reviewed and evaluated by the community, 505 Games and Plastic Piranha.
