Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collectibles Get New Expanded Micro Comic Fun Packs

IDW has announced the expansion of the TMNT series with the Micro Comic Fun Packs for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectibles. Fans will be able to get the new packs on April 1st. Ready to learn more? Read on.

From the Press Release
Due to their incredible popularity, IDW announced today that it will expand its Micro Comic Fun Packs with a set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectibles! This new set of fun packs will be available on April 1st from a variety of big-box retailers and comic shops. The set will offer four separate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles New Animated Adventures issues, with each 5.75” x 3” pack featuring a stand-alone comic-book adventure with an all-new cover (by Jon Sommariva) as well as one of eight stickers, foldout posters, and collectible, punch-out sewer caps.

"TMNT is always non-stop fun. Including them in Micro Comic Fun Packs makes perfect sense, as now these exciting adventures can find a whole new audience.” said Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles editor, Bobby Curnow. “Add in a bunch of great bonus material and it's the perfect package for any fan, young and old, of the Nickelodeon Turtles."

Each Micro Comic Fun Pack comes with a complete 22-page story that’s been re–formatted to perfectly suit this reduced size. The content of the comic has been expanded to include a two-page sewer playset splash page in the middle of each comic, perfect for arranging and displaying the included removable TMNT sticker. In addition, aspiring artists will love the three-page “How-to-Draw” tutorial in each issue. Each pack also contains one of eight possible foldout posters and collectible sewer caps (This is pretty redundant since it was mentioned above). The sewer cap is a cardboard punch-out featuring a popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character hidden underneath a manhole cover.

“These books are the perfect fit for the Micro Comic Fun Pack line. Each one’s a complete Turtle adventure,” said IDW’s Director of New Business, Jerry Bennington. “It’s great to be able to expand the line from our current My Little Pony Fun Packs to a great series like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These comics feel like watching an episode of the TV show; each one is its own perfect little ninja adventure, and the fans are going to flip over all the extras in each pack!”

Available on April 1st at Toys R Us, Target, and your friendly local comic shop, the TMNT Micro Fun Pack is small in size, but huge in fun! Pre-order yours now.

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
