BFast Breakfast Shakes (Food Review)

General Mills has announced the release of their all new breakfast shake line known as BFast. The new drinks provide 8 grams of protein, 8 grams of whole grains, 3 grams of fiber and plenty of vitamins and minerals that consumers would expect from a healthy breakfast of milk and cereal and similar foods in the form of a shake that is easy to pick up and take on the go. The shakes come in the three flavors vanilla, chocolate and berry or strawberry, and all three taste great. BFast shakes are designed to give consumers an easy option for breakfast and are a great tasting and easy way to do so, but there are plenty of nutrients in each box, so the shakes can easily fit any diet and likely help people get in better shape when used alongside a healthy diet and regular exercise. No matter how you use BFast breakfast shakes, they're definitely a good option for people short on time or those that normally skip breakfast instead.

General Mills announced the product back in 2013 with several promotions online and in select locations such as college campuses around the country, and the product is now available in stores. One of the first things people will notice when picking up a BFast breakfast shake is the package's design. The little cardboard box is roughly the size of a couple sticks of butter and features a tough, metal covering over the drink spout that is likely there to prevent spills or wasted products during shipping, but users will need a pen or other device ready to open a shake, since no straw is included. Once the drink is open though, any frustration with opening the package melts away with a smooth and refreshing taste that is best served cold, though refrigeration isn't required.

General Mills may be a bit late to the breakfast shake industry, but BFast is definitely one of the best tasting brands around and is easily comparable with Slim Fast, Ensure and other brands available at local supermarkets. Though the BFast breakfast drinks boast some great nutrition statistics, they aren't the best around. For example, Special K brand drinks have 10 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber when compared to the 8 grams of protein and 3 grams of fiber of the BFast shakes, though BFast offers less calories, fat and sugar, so it really depends on what the consumer is looking for in their shakes. We really enjoy BFast breakfast shakes and would like to see the brand have continued success that can translate into more products and the introduction of new flavors, and General Mills is poised for a successful launch with three great offerings for consumers looking for breakfast options on the go, so check out BFast breakfast shakes in your local grocery store today!

BFast Breakfast Shakes from General Mills are now available from all major retailers for the suggestted retail price of $1.79 or $4.49 for a 3-pack. For more information on the drinks, check out the official BFast Breakfast Shakes website.

This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
