Terraria Downloaded Over 1 Million Times for Mobile

505 Games has announced their hit title Terraria has now been downloaded over 1.3 million times on mobile devices since the game's release Terraria made a name for itself on PC and separated itself from the Minecraft clone tag before releasing on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation network, where the game sold over 1 million units to date. The 2D adventure and exploration title is currently available on iOS, Android, Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network and Steam, so if you've yet to try the game out for yourself, pick up it up your favorite platform today!

Originally released in 2011 by indie studio Re-logic, Terraria is a side-scrolling, action-adventure sandbox game with an emphasis on crafting and exploration set in vast and vibrant worlds. The game has received universal and critical acclaim with millions of "Terrarians" embarking on their own adventures since the game's release on PC, XBLA and PSN. Now mobile gamers can gear up for the action because Terraria is headed to phones and tablets so players anywhere can dig, fight, explore and build!

Players will discover more than a dozen environments and face treacherous perils including over a hundred twisted foes, magical creatures and villainous bosses. The controls have been completely redesigned for touch screens and every aspect of the game has been tweaked and balanced to give players the perfect on the go Terraria experience.

Terraria for mobile platforms will support leader boards, achievements and Facebook integration so you can share screenshots of your adventures and creations. In development by Codeglue, Terraria for phones and tablets will be available starting this summer.
