The International Music Summit's (IMS) Engage Returning On April 16 To Los Angeles

The International Music Summit's (IMS) Engage is set to return on April 16th in Los Angeles at the W Hotel Hollywood. The IMS Engage series has expanded to include 350 delegates. Read on to learn more.

From the Press Release
Following its successful debut last April, The International Music Summit's (IMS) Engage will return to Los Angeles, Wednesday, April 16th at the W Hotel Hollywood. Founded by Legendary DJ Pete Tong MBE and music executives Ben Turner and Danny Whittle amongst others, the International Music Summit has earned a reputation as the "TED of music conferences." IMS Engage consists of six un-moderated conversations pairing leaders from the worlds of finance, technology, music and media to address the growing influence of electronic music. As part of the pairings the first confirmed speakers include songwriter and musician Moby withlegendary film director David Lynch (Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive), and world-renowned film music composer Hans Zimmer (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 12 Years a Slave, The Dark Knight Rises, Man Of Steel and Inception) with rising scoring star Junkie XL. Additional IMS Engage pairings will be announced within the next coming weeks.

The pairings of Moby and David Lynch, along with Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL, validate IMS Engage's mission to create a dialogue among authorities within the film and music industries. All are leaders in their fields. Electronic musician Moby is considered one of the most important dance music figures of the early 90's, selling over 20 million albums worldwide. Moby will join American film director David Lynch in conversation at IMS Engage. Lynch is known for his surrealist films which include Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive and Lost Highway. He has been described as "the most important director of his era" by The Guardian and has been labeled as the "first popular surrealist." Moby and Lynch have a strong history going back to Twin Peaks - Moby sampled the music from the film in his defining production 'Go'. The pair have since remixed each other's work for Lynch's own music projects on Sunday Best Recordings.

Hans Zimmer has received three GRAMMY Awards, an American Music Award, a Tony Award, three Classical BRIT Awards, two Golden Globe awards and an Academy Award. He has composed music for over 100 films with highlights including The Lion King, Crimson Tide, The Thin Red Line, Gladiator, The Last Samurai and Inception. Zimmer will be paired in discussion with Junkie XL, the Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling Dutch music producer, remixer and composer. The two recently collaborated on the score for the film The Dark Knight Rises and Junkie XL has gone on to score Divergent and 300: Rise of the Empire - both US Box Office Number One films in the last month. Junkie is arguably the most successful electronic music producer in film.

Moby, David Lynch, Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL will join a "who's who" of the film and music communities at this years' IMS Engage. Past participants with IMS Engage have included hip-hop impresario Russell Simmons, Ultra Music Founder Patrick Moxey, renowned music manager Troy Carter, the founder of Instagram Kevin Systrom and musicians Skillrex and Diplo.

This year's IMS Engage series has been expanded to include 350 delegates. Tickets start at $320 and are available via ticket link at: http://www.internationalmusicsummit.com/ims-engage/delegate-badges
