Wicked Audio Evac, JawBreakers & Divvy Audio Splitter (Accessories Review)

Wicked Audio is an ever growing brand in the audio accessories industry. The company is already known as one of the best around, and with the introduction of great new products such as the Divvy audio splitter, JawBreakers ear buds and Evac headset, it's no wonder why. Wicked Audio is constantly introducing new headsets, ear buds and other accessories to the public that provide some of the best audio experiences around and are capable products to handle playing music, watch streaming movies over mobile devices with high quality audio or play games with a good audio feed directly to Wicked Audio's brand of headsets and mics. We were lucky enough to try out several of Wicked Audio's audio accessories recently, and these are just some of our thoughts on our favorite from the bunch.

Divvy Audio Splitter:

The Divvy audio splitter is one of the more noteworthy devices we ran across in the Wicked Audio lineup. This nifty little device can hook into any device that supports 3.5mm headphone jacks and splits the audio output to two different devices. The Divvy is impressive for its small design that is easy to carry along with any mobile devices and ear buds on the go. Even more impressive is that the audio quality never dips despite running to two different sets of headphones or ear buds, and the applications for the product are nearly endless, whether you're watching a movie in bed with your significant other or on a trip and sharing a device with someone sitting next to you.

About the only problem we could think of with the Divvy is that the splitter itself is wired, so it's impossible to take it across the room from a device to watch television together at home for instance. The Divvy is still an impressive accessory though, and perhaps the best feature is independent volume control for both outputs that lets both users listen to content at just the right amplitude. For an accessory that costs only $9.99, fans won't find a better deal on an audio splitting device.

JawBreakers Ear Buds

The JawBreakers ear buds is another great new product from Wicked Audio. Wicked Audio's JawBreakers gives the ultimate combination of high performance and low cost. Fans can purchase a set of JawBreakers for use on the go for only $19.99 or less, and there is likely not a better pair of ear buds for the price. The accessory features high quality audio output in a small size. The JawBreakers don't look much different than any other in-ear headphones on the market, but as soon as music begins pumping through the tiny speakers, it becomes perfectly clear these are no ordinary ear buds.

Wicked Audio's JawBreakers run off of 10mm drivers and produces frequencies from 20 to 20,000 Hz. The device pumps some incredible bass directly into users' ears to give the equivalent of a home theater setup but without waking the neighbors to use. There are few if any ear buds available anywhere else that can produce the sounds JawBreakers are capable of, and you really have to hear them in action to fully understand. The cord on the ear buds is only four feet, which is a bit on the average to short side, but most of the time, the ear buds will be used for mobile devices and other electronics that aren't far from your hands anyhow. JawBreakers are designed with all ear sizes in mind as well and come with three different sized cushions that fit comfortably yet snug in the inner part of the ear with no slippage and no discomfort over long sessions of using the headphones.

JawBreakers come in a variety of different color options including black, green, pink while and yellow. There are also two different models, one with and one without a microphone, which can allow users to use the ear buds as an audio input device with ease. The one minor problem we had with the Wicked Audio product was adjusting the audio settings of the headphones; it always seemed specific parts such as the bass were always a bit too loud or quiet when switching between certain tracks. Of course, some users won't find this to be a problem and will continue enjoying their music, games or movies with no problems. Wicked Audio's JawBreakers are a great pair of ear buds, and luckily they can be purchased for only $20 or less from most retailers.

Evac Stereo Headset

The Evac stereo headset is the final product we will cover in this review. The product comes in with a MSRP of around $59.99, though savvy shoppers are sure to find much favorable prices online. This headset is one of the best that Wicked Audio has to offer. The device has some of the same features as the JawBreakers ear buds including most notably the different colors (black, white or green), high quality audio output and the sometimes troublesome four feet of slack in the headset's cord. All-in-all, the Evac headset is a good device for use with games, music and more, and fans won't be disappointed with the sound quality at the price the Wicked Audio product can currently be purchased at.

Wicked Audio went all out with the exterior packaging for their Evac model headset. Fans will find some sleek designs and information modeled after top secret military information. Part of the design is carried over to the actual headset with a cool Wicked Audio logo gracing each ear pad. The Evac won't be confused for the prettiest pair of headphones; the ear pads ditch the typical glossy exterior for a smoother cover that is easy to run your fingers across while sacrificing a bit of good looks. The headband for the Evac is similar in that it feels great while being worn but also features a felt material and large metal prongs for support that looks something like computer headsets from the early 90s. The design definitely leaves something to be desired in looks, but the Evac is one of the most comfortable headsets we've ever worn to be sure. It's worth noting no additional accessories are featured on the inside of the packaging, so users looking for adapters, cases and other accessories will need to purchase those separately.

Wicked Audio's Evac headset is made from top of the line products that gives the speakers booming bass that sounds great while wrapped around your ears. The headphones are powered by a powerful 40mm driver, features 103 dB of sensitivity and produces frequencies that range from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Essentially, the Evac is one of the best sounding headsets out there for its price range. The design does feature handy flip inward ear cups to easily stow away the device without worrying about it getting damaged. Likewise, the cord on the device is braided to help prevent it from being torn or ripped out of place. The Wicked Audio Evac headset is compatible with a variety of different devices, and you won't soon be unhooking it from your favorite device once you've tried it out for yourself!

Score: 8 out of 10
