It's safe to say that any product available from Feenix already has a few good things going for it, but we were lucky enough to get two of the company's products to test out and review for our fans. Read on to learn more about the Feenix Nascita and Feenix Dimora, and for more information, don't forget to check out the official Feenix Collection website.
Feenix Nascita:
The Feenix Nascita is a new wired gaming mouse made available from the company late last year. The model includes only a little more than the necessary buttons for any mouse that includes the left and right click and the scroll wheel up and down. The design also includes a curved side that is perfect for resting a thumb on for right-handed gamers. Other features for the Feenix Nascita includes Teflon feet that keep the mouse from sliding out of control, though it is a bit slick and tough to grow accustomed to right out of the box. The materials the buttons and body are built from are high quality and resist sweating and cramping even during long gaming sessions, so the Feenix Nascita is a good choice for hardcore gamers that don't need a lot of customizable buttons to enjoy their games.
There are two great features that helps separate the Feenix Nascita from other gaming mouses on the market. For starters, the Feenix Nascita features backlit buttons, which isn't a completely rare feature, but the Feenix Nascita does so with white colored outlines that doesn't make the mouse a distraction while gaming in a darker room. Additionally, the mouse has the ability out of the box to easily customize DPI settings, which is helpful for changing mouse speeds between matches or even during matches. The mouse does so with two buttons on the side that bumps the DPI up or down, while a helpful LCD screen in the upper left corner of the mouse gives feedback on its current setting.
There are a couple of minor negatives with the product. The Feenix Nascita is a wired mouse with no option to take the device wireless, This isn't a huge deal, since the mouse does feature a long cord that will stretch across almost any desk, and the cord is braided to prevent tangles. One additional problem with the Feenix Nascita is the price range at $97, which makes it a deluxe item to be sure. Gamers will need to decide for themselves if the Feenix Nascita is within their price range, but the device is definitely an excellent gaming mouse for the price. Feenix Dimora:
Of course, it doesn't do a whole lot of good to purchase a high end gaming mouse, if it's just going to be sliding across a rough and uneven surface. Luckily, Feenix also offers a top of the line mousepad known as the Feenix Dimora, which makes a perfect companion piece for the Feenix Niscata. The Feenix Dimora is another luxury item, but it is built to last with a tough plastic cover that prevents wear and makes the perfect surface for even the most aggressive gamers that often over emphasize their movements during matches. The Feenix Dimora is also a great looking product, so if you're in the market for a new mousepad, you'll want to check it out.
The first thing anyone will notice about the Feenix Dimora is its massive size. The mouse pad measures in at 13"x11" or roughly the size of two standard, square mousepads. The casing of the mousepad is crafted from a tough plastic that resists wear and tear and is made as one solid piece to keep anything from tearing or breaking off of the pad. Despite being molded from very tough materials, the Feenix Dimora offers a smooth playing surface that produces easy but accurate slides and stops during gaming sessions. The bottom of the mouse pad is also expertly crafted to keep the pad in place at all times, even when gamers get a bit rough with their mouse and keyboard during hectic online matches.
We tested both products thoroughly with a casual game (Hearthstone), a first-person shooter (Counter-Strike: GO) and a MOBA (DOTA 2). Both products held up well across all types of games. The Feenix Nascita showed up especially well during Counter-Strike: GO matches where the custom DPI settings ended up being very useful, while the Feenix Dimora mouse pad never gave us any problems and proved a good surface to hold other items while providing enough room to continue gaming. The Feenix Dimora is obviously a good mousepad that will be out of the price range of some gamers, but it's a very solid product that is built to last and makes a perfect option for gamers in need of an upgrade in that particular accessory.
