The Alabama Phoenix Festival Returns To Birmingham On May 30

The Alabama Phoenix Festival will take place at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and Conference Center from May 30-June 1st, 2014. The event will have something for everyone with tracks that include comics, horror and more. Memberships are now available for the three-day event with children under 8 being admitted for free. Alabama Phoenix Festival is excited to announce that the 3rd annual convention will be held at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Birmingham. The Alabama Phoenix Festival will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 30 with activities around the clock until closing at 5:00 pm Sunday, June 1.


“2014 marks the start of a new venue, new partnerships, and new events to draw people in from all over the US”, says Steve Charleson, CEO of The Alabama Phoenix Festival. “We anticipate this year to be our strongest convention yet.”

Primary programming will take place in 1 hour long blocks with 30 minute breaks between each block. Tracks include: Sci-Fi and Fantasy Media, Comics, Paranormal, Alternate History, Costuming, Star Trek, Star Wars, Sci-Fi and Fantasy Literature, Science and Engineering, Anime and Manga, and Horror, as well as an Exhibit and Vendor Hall.

Membership prices for the three-day event range from $30 to $55, and children under 8 are admitted for free. The Sheraton Birmingham is also offering a special rate of $99/night for Alabama Phoenix Festival attendees.
