BAFTA Award-Winning Composer Jason Graves Scores Murdered: Soul Suspect

BAFTA award-winning composer Jason Graves has been announced as the primary composer for the soundtrack in the upcoming Square Enix project Murdered: Soul Suspect. The game's soundtrack will feature intense music inspired by the modern genre that will fit the supernatural thriller perfectly. Read on to learn more.

Winner of ten E3 Awards, Murdered: Soul Suspect takes players into a whole new realm of mystery where the case is personal and the clues just out of reach. A new take on the action/adventure genre, Murdered: Soul Suspect challenges players to solve possibly the hardest case of all...their own murder.

Renowned for his sophisticated composition style, unique musical textures and cinematic orchestral writing for blockbuster franchises such as Tomb Raider ("One of the must-own soundtracks of 2013" - Forbes) and Dead Space ("A Master of Horror" - The New York Post), Jason Graves also composes for film and television including the upcoming feature films Adrenaline and Unknown Caller.

Graves' masterful atmospheric score for Murdered: Soul Suspect illustrates the game's story and character arcs through a visceral hybrid approach, combining themes and textures performed by live string quartet with found sounds and experimental percussion.

Murdered: Soul Suspect sees players take the role of Ronan O'Connor, a detective with a checkered past, whose life is brought to an untimely end by a brutal and relentless killer. Unable to move on and stuck in the limbo world of Dusk, he won't find peace until he can bring his killer to justice from the afterlife. Using his new-found supernatural abilities, Ronan is free to explore the town of Salem, Massachusetts, from his shadowy afterlife. Unable to communicate with the detectives on his case, Ronan must read the minds of the living, influencing their thoughts and actions. As part of his investigation, he must interrogate the ghosts of Salem's past citizens to piece together the puzzle, while battling demonic spirits to save his soul and uncover the shocking truth about who is responsible for his death.
