Battlefy Offering Structured Tournament Organization in Public Beta
The public beta for Battlefy has officially arrived. The platform allows users to easily track entries, card decks or other tools used to win tournaments and other helpful features that allows tournament organizers to easily make games fun and fair for all gamers. Players will also have access to exclusive features when tournament organizers use Battlefy including easy ways to check into an event, find their opponents with online assistance, report and share wins and losses and track progress through the tournament. The platform has already been used successfully on a variety of tournaments that includes the games Might and Magic: Duel of Champions, League of Legends and DOTA 2. Read on.
Battlefy can now be used to create tournaments for more than 42,000 different games, but the platform is especially useful for popular eSports titles. When the platform is implemented for team-based genres such as MOBAs and FPSes, players find features like one step team registration and roster management.
Players in collectible card game tournaments have benefited greatly from Battlefy's ability to handle the submission of deck information to the organizer ensuring fair play throughout events. The platform also models its swiss tournament format, including tie-breaker systems, after professional leagues so that the right players advance to the next level of multi-stage competitions.
Battlefy has received $1.5 million in venture funding. Investors include Deep Fork Capital VC, BDC Ventures and William Morris Endeavor.
