Devolver Digital Releases First Episode of Super Game Jam Featuring Luftrausers and Ibb and Obb Creators

Devolver Digital has released the first episode in the Super Game Jam series that will take a look at the indie game developers JW Nijman and Richard Boeser. The show will continue across five episodes showing behind the scenes and documentary type footage of eight other developers across four short films, so check out the first on Steam today!



The debut episode features two developers that are longtime friends but have never had the opportunity to work together: JW Nijman (Ridiculous Fishing, Luftrausers) and Richard Boeser (Ibb and Obb) and chronicles the pair as they explore the concept of “breaking up” and the various ways the concept can be represented in game design. The engaging collaboration of the two developers results in an exceptionally unique racing game based on the dynamic between a driver and a navigator, aptly titled Navigator, now playable via the Super Game Jam application.

The first short follows JW Nijman (Ridiculous Fishing, Luftrausers) and Richard Boser (Ibb and Obb). Breaking up is hard to do, and they explore how breaking up can be represented in game design.
