MomoCon 2014 invaded Atlanta, Georgia for the weekend of May 23-25, 2014 to allow fans a chance to meet some of the biggest names in the video games, anime and animated films industry. The event was packed with plenty of fantastic guests, panels and cosplayers. In fact, the convention was so big that the events within the show needed to be spread across two buildings and multiple floors at the Hilton Atlanta and Marriott Marquis. Fans that attended the show are sure to be tired from the weekend long event, but MomoCon 2014 was a great convention that didn't disappoint from an entertainment standpoint.

Some of the video game guests for Momocon 2014 included Troy Baker and Courtnee Draper from BioShock Infinite, Troy's partner in crime in The Last of Us Ashley Johnson, Andrew Lawrence from Dead Rising 3 and even YouTube stars such as Caveman Films. Fans of anime and animated television shows were also treated to great guests including the voice of Prince Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender Dante Basco and an Animaniacs reunion that included Jess Harnell, Rob Paulsen and Tress Macneille. Most of the guests stayed at the event the entire weekend to meet up with fans and sign autographs, and there were plenty of panels with Q&A sessions to allow fans a chance to learn even more about the voices behind some of their favorite characters of television, films and video games.

MomoCon 2014 also featured plenty of vendors and various companies that were offering one of a kind souvenirs from the show. Fans could meet up with some fantastic artists to even get custom art at the event. There was also plenty of other events offering something for every person in attendance including martial arts workshops, where fans could learn some of the fighting moves of their favorite characters, special screenings such as a FUNimation preview show or contests for costumes, video games, card games and more to win some nice prizes to take home from the show. Attendees even had great opportunities to get special event photos at Momocon that included the SMITE game booth which had professional cosplayers on hand ready to greet fans and take free photos shot by CONography with their favorite characters from the game.

If there was anything not to like about MomoCon 2014, it had to be the packed conditions and having to travel from one hotel to the other for certain events within the convention. It was a hot weekend, and standing in line shoulder to shoulder through the hotels with other attendees didn't exactly help matters. Once you got to where you wanted to go though, it definitely paid off and was worth the wait. The convention featured a different panel, contest or some other event for nearly every hour of the weekend, so no one could argue that the show runners didn't put on a good show for fans. We will be in attendance at the next convention to be sure, so don't miss MomoCon 2015 on the weekend of May 28-31, 2015 at the Georgia World Congress Center and Omni Hotel. BioGamer Girl will see you there!
