Godzilla - The Official Movie Novelization (Book Review)

Godzilla was created in a simpler time when horror and science fiction films produced massive monsters as the stars of their films using scaled down city models and camera tricks. Despite Hollywood moving away from this type of film in the modern movie industry, Godzilla still remains as one of the most beloved creatures from any film franchise. Thanks to the new Warner Bros. film, fans get a chance to see a new vision for the classic series. Titan Books has also released a new movie novelization for the film from author Greg Cox that recounts the most prominent scenes from the movie on paper and even adds a bit of extra content that adds more reasons to check out the new book.

There's no doubt that one of the main reasons fans have to see the new Godzilla film is to see the massive monster on the big screen. Godzilla - The Official Movie Novelization does not allow fans to actually see the monster except for a single shot of the beast on the cover of the book unfortunately. The book does a pretty good job of describing Godzilla, but it hardly does the monster justice if there happens to be anyone that doesn't already know of the character. The film does still feature a good storyline though, and it translates well to Godzilla - The Official Movie Novelization to keep it interesting despite a glaring weakness.

Godzilla - The Official Movie Novelization does feature some other important, human characters in its storyline. This is the strength of the narrative on paper, as it allows readers to learn even more about these characters, their thoughts and their feelings during certain situations. While readers won't be witness to the great acting of Bryan Cranston, author Greg Cox does a fantastic job of reflecting character personalities and how they are feeling in desperate situations. Godzilla - The Official Movie Novelization is definitely an exciting read that makes the film's characters even more important than in the film.

While fans won't get an adrenaline boost from watching explosions and massive monsters battling on-screen, Godzilla - The Official Movie Novelization offers a chance to learn more about the numerous characters in the film and features a different type of excitement for readers. Watching the film and reading the novelization is a worthwhile endeavor. Godzilla is one of Hollywood's greatest characters ever, and he feels right at home in theaters or in books. Check out Godzilla - The Official Movie Novelization from Titan Books today!
