Drakengard 3 Gets Final DLC Adding New Garbs, Weapons and Themes

Square Enix has announced the release of the final DLC for Drakengard 3. Players can now check out a brand-new trailer that showcases some of the great new content releasing which includes exclusive garbs, weapons and themes. Drakengard®3 fans can now complete their character inventory, as Square Enix, Inc. today released the final batch of downloadable content (DLC) for the game and a trailer that walks viewers through the over 30 items of DLC that are now available. Offering players a variety of premium items, the latest DLC includes some previously exclusive (pre-order and Collector’s Edition) garbs seen in previous Drakengard games, weapons and a variety pack with all new color schemes.


A full list of the DLC’s offering includes:

Garb / Weapons

  • Zero’s Garb Variety Pack: A retailer exclusive pre-order item, this DLC contains three alternate costume color schemes for Zero. ($2.99)
  • Caim’s Garb: A previous Collector’s Edition exclusive, this DLC – from the original Drakengard – halves the player’s stamina use when performing heavy attacks. ($2.99)
  • Beautiful Child: Originally included in the Collector’s Edition as a pre-order bonus, this is a cosmetic headwear for Mikhail in the shape of a Giant Baby head. ($0.99)
  • Nier’s Garb: Modeled after NIER Replicant, the Japanese-Exclusive version of NIER®, this costume boosts damage by five percent. ($2.99)
  • KainĂ©’s Garb: Modeled after KainĂ© from NIER, this costume doubles the window for triggering a parry. ($2.99)
  • Experimental Weapon #7: Cosmetic headwear for Mikhail modeled after Emil from NIER. ($0.99)

Prologues / Themes

  • One’s Prologue: A Collector’s Edition exclusive as part of the Sisters’ Prologue Bundle, One’s Prologue is now available for individual purchase. ($5.99)
  • PlayStation Themes: A Wave 3 pre-order bonus for Drakengard 3, these PSN themes prominently feature Zero, Mikhail and the four Disciples (Cent, Octa, Decadus and Dito) on players’ PlayStation 3 dashboards. ($0.99 each)

Fans of the game can also enter a haiku contest being hosted on Twitter that opens today, with several copies of the Japanese Collector’s Edition available as prizes. The contest will be judged by members of the development staff based on creativity and relevance to the Drakengard brand.

A prequel to the original 2004 installment, Drakengard 3 players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters, known as “Intoners,” have brought peace to the earth using the power of magic manipulation through song. However, harmony is disrupted when eldest sister Zero attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion, Mikhail. With the story progressing through many twists and turns, players will find themselves unraveling the mystery of Zero and her true intentions. Drakengard 3 comes filled with high-octane hack-and-slash ground combat, as well as aerial battle stages alongside Mikhail, as players take on hordes of enemies and monsters alike. Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups.
