Steven Ince and Bill Tiller will be joining Cateia Games to bring gamers the next big adventure title with Kaptain Brawe 2. The game will contain beautifully detail visuals, a unique story by Ince, a huge cast of wacky characters and much more. The team behind the game is currently looking for support on Kickstarter with a campaign that ends in the next seven days. Read on.

From the Press Release
After Steve Ince and then Bill Tiller announced they are joining Cateia Games to work on Kaptain Brawe 2, adventure fans thought this could not get any better. Now with Rolf Saxon - a legendary actor doing voice overs for George Stobbart from the Broken Sword series - jumping on the boat, it's like a dream of every adventure game fan come true.

Steve Ince is a veteran story writer and game designer best known for his work on the Broken Sword series. Bill Tiller is a legendary lead background artist responsible for the Monkey Island graphic style. And Rolf Saxon is 'The Voice' of one of the most recognizable characters in games history - George Stobbart.

Having the three working on the sequel of the acclaimed Kaptain Brawe is an exciting news for all adventure games fans as this trio guarantees that Kaptain Brawe 2 will be a fantastic, funny, beautifully drawn and well written classic adventure game. Something all the fans o the genre have been waiting for, for a long time.

But for this to happen Steve, Bill and Rolf need a support from the gaming community to make a Kickstarter campaign - that is currently ongoing for Kaptain Brawe 2 - a success that will allow to bring this project to life.

Kaptain Brawe 2 is going to be a great looking game as well as a whole lot of fun! Just the kind of game I love. There's an amazing amount of experience behind this and I wish Steve and the campaign all the success in the world - said Rolf Saxon a.k.a. George Stobbart.

With only 7 days left the team has currently gathered almost 1/3 out of the $150,000 goal. Gathering the missing amount within a week is challenging but still possible so anyone willing to help making this happen should support the team by backing the project Kaptain Brawe 2 Kickstarter Campaign.

In the latest update to the campaign, available under the link above, the first in-game scene by Bill Tiller was revealed.

Anyone backing the project is guaranteed to get the game that offers:

  • Beautiful and detailed 2D hand painted scenes
  • Unique and brilliant story by Steve Ince
  • Traditional adventure point and click gameplay
  • Big cast of wacky characters
  • Wonderful and unique "Brawe" humor and puzzles
  • Fully voiced characters
  • Around 10 hours worth of gameplay
  • Inspired by Lucas Arts and Sierra classics
