rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes Comes To Concert Halls Worldwide This Summer

This summer fans will be able to attend rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes which kicks off this summer starting on July 6th at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles.

rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes, an orchestral concert series with the music of beloved video games including Journey, God of War, and Portal 2 among others, will debut at concert halls worldwide this summer. Produced by Jason Michael Paul Productions, creators of Dear Friends: Music from Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda™: Symphony of the Goddesses, in collaboration with top video game publishers and composers, rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes will be performed by professional symphony orchestras in iconic venues around the globe. rePLAY is a one-of-a-kind production that features high-definition gameplay videos, shown in perfect sync with the music. Kicking off the summer with a bang, rePLAY will head to the Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 6. Tickets for the full lineup of shows are now available via Ticketmaster and at www.replay-symphony.com.

rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes presents the most memorable video game scores from AAA to indie titles through a musical narrative inspired by Joseph Campbell’s “monomyth.” Each performance’s program and song choice follows the hero’s journey, a pattern of 17 stages found in both literature and video games, including the call to adventure, supernatural aid, atonement and freedom. The story is accompanied by visuals from the games themselves, and narrated by Nigel Carrington of Dear Esther.

“There’s more to rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes than just a set list; the audience is able to recapture the emotional connection they had with each video game not just through the music, but also by reliving their adventures as the hero,” said Jason Michael Paul, creator of rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes. “Our close collaboration with the most creative minds in music and games brings a deeper layer of immersion to the concert experience.”

The program includes music from Halo, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, BioShock and several more award-winning games, rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes is coming to the following cities in the 2014-2015 season:
