The Last of Us Hardcover Ruled Journal is a new release from Insight Editions that allows fans of one of the most popular PlayStation 3 games of all-time to record their own personal memory log, thoughts, dreams or even tips for the game in an easy to pick up and carry diary. The new release is exactly what it says it is. The Last of Us fans will want to pick up the hardbound journal to add to their collection of items inspired by the game, but it's hardly a great choice for users looking for a notebook or journal due to its very high price range.


Fans should mostly take in the cover of The Last of Us Hardcover Ruled Journal when deciding whether to purchase the luxury item or not. The book features a hardcover with logos and designs inspired by the game and is made of a material that feels nice and smooth to the touch while also resisting fingerprints and other marks. The book also has a strap for keeping the book closed and secured when not in use. Publisher Insight Editions has crafted similar covers for past releases, and it's nice to see the company offer fans of the journal a hardcover that will stand up to a lot of use over the years for fans that don't simply want to display it on a shelf as a collector's item.

The Last of Us Hardcover Ruled Journal is definitely not a very cost efficient purchase for fans looking to purchase a notebook or journal to keep various notes and writings. The item retails at around $18.95 at most retailers, though it can be found cheaper online, and it only contains a little under 200 pages worth of ruled paper. Similar record keepers will sale for $10 or less with the only real difference being the covers. The Last of Us Hardcover Ruled Journal does feature a finely detailed and well made cover though, so The Last of Us fans may find it difficult not to pass up on owning a copy of Insight Edition's new journal in the end.
