With Istanbul in despair and evil closing its grip on the city’s inhabitants, adventure game fans can now choose their path in Section Studios’ gothic-inspired game, Vlad The Impaler. Whether they opt to become the savior that cures the city of its ills or the villain that continues the destruction of the once great capital, players will have the power of choice in their hands. Beginning today, Section Studios is making Vlad available for PC and Mac via Steam for $6.99.
In Vlad the Impaler, players venture throughout the streets of Istanbul, solving quests and exploring a city that has come under siege by an evil force. As players progress through each quest, they unlock individual strengths and abilities for one of three character classes: Explorer, Mage and Soldier. Adventurers must beware, each turn has dire effects, which can result in gained or lost skills and items. Ultimately, all actions determine whether a player will be the savior of Istanbul or contribute to the capital’s demise.

Vlad the Impaler features more than 50 quests as players discover medieval Istanbul and the castle of one of the most feared men in history, Vlad the Impaler. Each decision has adverse influence on a player’s path to becoming a savior or sinner, and each moral decision can lead to prosperity or hardship.
