Knight Girl (Video Game Review)

Playfo has released Knight Girl for iOS devices which can be downloaded today for free from the App Store. Knight Girl features an intriguing storyline with fun game mechanics while you explore everything that the title has to offer in with its match-3 games. Players will venture across 120 levels within the beautiful fairy kingdom to explore various environments full of interesting characters. Ready to start your adventure? Read on to learn more.

Knight Girl starts you out at Level 1 with a interesting tutorial from a beautiful Knight girl. The basics of Knight Girl are to get three gems of the same color in a row to raise your score and complete the levels. Players must complete the level within a certain amount of moves to progress with the ability to line up more jewels in a row for bigger bonus points. The more points you rack up in a move will help you create rockets that can move either vertically or horizontally which will take out a whole row of gems no matter if they match or not. Every level has the ability to earn three stars for the best score which is done by scoring a certain amount of points in the limited amount of moves you have. This means that even if you complete the level and don't like the score you received then you can replay to try for even more points to reach the three star max.

Gameplay in Knight Girl is very addicting but can become somewhat repetitive after many hours. Thankfully, Knight Girl mixes up the mechanics in order to keep fans entertained like the ability to create bombs by forming a T or L-shaped set of gems which can create quite a challenge in some scenarios. The bomb can then be used to blow up other gems around it to raise your score to epic proportions. If you have some trouble trying to find matches, then the game will give you hints to help you on your move so you can progress, which makes the game easy to pick up for all types of gamers from new to advanced.

Knight Girl features fun gameplay that requires various strategic moves to proceed with a medieval soundtrack to keep things upbeat and fresh. However, we found the voiceover work for Knight Girl to be a bit stale and unappealing since the characters just didn't match your expectations. As you progress in Knight Girl, you will be able to create new items like Rocket packets (which take out all the gems of the same color) that can be combined with objects like the bomb to create a massive explosion. Also, if you have a rocket that hits a rocket pack then you will gain a ton of rockets which creates even more chaos and entertaining gameplay that racks up the points very quickly. Once you learn all of the basics of Knight Girl then you will learn how to mine gold to hit the open road which will be done by matching the gems over the gold to collect it. Players will need to collect so much gold in order to complete the level before you begin your training with Captain Roland who then decides when you have completed all the difficulties to proceed.

Knight Girl will get more challenging with new obstacles as you progress through all of the levels of the game with the ability to rotate stones to divert rockets and much more. While the game may contain a high degree of replayability with its fun game mechanics, Knight Girl does get a little repetitive as you continue on. However, in the end, Knight Girl is a solid game with addictive gameplay, bright visuals and a fun atmosphere. If you want to play a game that will kill time or entertain you in between work breaks then definitely pick up Knight Girl today on the App Store!

Knight Girl is now available for iOS devices via the App Store. Knight Girl is rated 4+ by the ESRB. For more information on the game, check out the official Knight Girl App Page.
