KOEI TECMO America today released the first trailer for WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Ultimate featuring new and updated gameplay modes in stunning graphics for the series Western debut on new generation consoles September 2, 2014 for the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment systems, PS®Vita and Xbox One. Additionally, details on characters making their inaugural appearance in the fight against Orochi were shared. New warriors include guest characters (Sophitia from the SOULCALIBUR series and Sterk from the Atelier series) and three brand new additions: Nezha, Tamamo and Yinglong.
Sophitia Alexandra is a holy warrior who was sent on a mission by the Olympian god, Hephaestus to destroy the evil sword known as Soul Edge. Ultimately, Sophitia had to protect the malevolent sword when her daughter was taken hostage. As the battle ended, she was drawn into the space-time rift and brought to the Orochi dimension.
Sterkenburg Cranach is a former knight of the Kingdom of Arland. On his journey back to Arland after escorting Princess Meruru back to Arls, Sterkenburg also found himself caught in the space-time rift and transported to the unknown world.
Nezha is a young officer from the Mystic Realm and although highly skillful, he continues to advance himself, seeking the most difficult battles while freely wielding his Fire Spear with expertise.
Yinglong is an officer from the Mystic Realm's ancient past, he fought admirably alongside Fu Xi and the other mystics against the demon hordes. While highly esteemed by his peers, Yinglong follows his convictions, resulting in inflexible actions.
With these additions, the Orochi universe expands even further, providing fans a new experience with the implementation of new generation console features, new storylines and scenarios. There is enough new gameplay content and depth of replayability to satisfy warriors of all levels including additional cross over characters and battle stages from franchises like Atelier, DYNASTY WARRIORS, NINJA GAIDEN Sigma 2 and SAMURAI WARRIORS.
WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Ultimate is developed by Omega Force and published in North America by KOEI TECMO America. The PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions will be available exclusively through the PlayStation® Store for $49.99 (PS3) and $39.99 (PS Vita) respectively and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be available for $59.99 on September 2, 2014. Special pre-order incentives are available at participating retailers including Halloween Costumes (GameStop and EB Canada), and TOUKIDEN-themed costumes (Amazon and Best Buy). This title has been rated T (Teen) by the ESRB.
