Game Music Connect Announces 2014 Conference Starting September 24

Game Music Connect organizers today announced that their 2014 international video game music conference, which returns to London's Southbank Centre on September 24, will be supported by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).


Game Music Connect 2014 is honoured to be supported by the British Academy and delighted to welcome the composer who took home this year's BAFTA for best original music. Introducing 'The BAFTA Interview', in conversation with Game Music Connect co-founder John Broomhall, maestro Garry Schyman will reflect on and discuss his multi award-winning score for Bioshock Infinite.

Game Music Connect is for aspiring and professional composers of all backgrounds and those interested in learning about the art and craft of creating today's cutting edge video game soundtracks. Tim Hunter, Director of Learning and Events at BAFTA said, "Game Music Connect shares BAFTA's mission to champion creative excellence in games, sharing the insights and tricks of the trade of some of the most exciting names in games composition - including this year's BAFTA winner Garry Schyman, who will be the subject of 'The BAFTA Interview'. Game Music Connect is created by BAFTA award-winning composer James Hannigan (Command & Conquer and Harry Potter series) and noted game audio director, composer and industry commentator John Broomhall (Forza Motorsport 5, Transport Tycoon), to celebrate and explore the music of video games together with the extraordinary talent behind it.
