Read on.
From the Press Release
Mobile shoppers looking for big savings at their favorite stores can turn to the Goodshop app, a new iOS app with the latest coupons and deals at more than 5,000 online stores. In addition to being a great way to save money, the Goodshop app adds some extra meaning, as a percentage of virtually every purchase is donated to the shopper’s favorite cause.

The Goodshop app provides shoppers with more than 200,000 coupons, deals, and promo codes at thousands of retailers like Amazon,Macy’s, Target, and Staples - and they can select their favorite stores for a one-touch access to shopping and saving. Virtually every time they shop, the app directs an average of 3% of their purchases to their chosen cause, and it’s all at no extra cost to the them!

App users can choose which cause to support from a list of over 110,000 schools and nonprofits in the US - everything from the biggest, national organizations, like the ASPCA and Stand Up For Cancer, to smaller environmental agencies and local food banks or schools. In other words, the next shirt you buy from Gap can also help feed a rescued dog; the next computer you nab a deal at from Best Buy can help clean our oceans; the next bag of pet food you pick up from Petco can also help buy books for your kids’ school.

The app allows users to share their impact, thereby spreading the movement and getting more people shopping and saving for a cause they care about. “I’m always using my iPhone to shop my favorite stores,” said Mary Harkey of Los Angeles. “The Goodshop app lets me save at each one and helps me make a difference to my local hospital too, so why wouldn’t I choose that option every time I shop?”

While the app is new, Goodshop.com launched in 2007, and along with its sister sites, has to date has raised more than $11 million for a range of causes. That money has been used to feed the homeless, fund cancer research, build school playgrounds, and much more.

“The Goodshop app is a wonderful way for people to incorporate “doing good” into their everyday lives, while shopping,” said Colin Morris, VP of Product at Goodshop. “We see it as perfect win-win, where shoppers can purchase everything they need, save money with great deals, and make the world better too!”
