From the Press Release
Operation Supply Drop, a leading military charity that supports active duty troops deployed to combat operations and veterans recovering from their service-related injuries, today proudly announces it has launched Indie Ammo Box, the world’s first video game store directly supporting U.S. and allied NATO troops.

Indie Ammo Box offers digitally downloadable game content for sale, as well as special bundle offers at a “pay as you like” price. Proceeds go directly to benefit Operation Supply Drop’s efforts to provide entertainment gift packages and other valuable services to the troops. The Indie Ammo Box initiative kicks off with its first special offer, a massive bundle of games from Robot Entertainment that includes fan favorites Orcs Must Die, Orcs Must Die 2, extensive DLC for both titles, Hero Academy, and Echo Prime.

“There are other video game stores supporting various charities, but it became apparent to us that no one was taking dedicated and consistent care of our fighting men and women,” said Stephen “Shanghai Six” Machuga, Founder of Operation Supply Drop and Program Director for Indie Ammo Box. “Led by a team of military veterans, Operation Supply Drop is the leading charity that combines our passion, experience, and significant involvement in both the military and the video game industry. Indie Ammo Box is the only online video game store that involves only the charity and the developer or publisher. Dollars spent on purchases at Indie Ammo Box will go first and foremost toward supporting the troops, rather than administrative fees or distribution costs.”

“We’re excited to see this next phase of our fund-raising efforts come to fruition, and are truly in awe of the level of commitment we’ve received from publishers, particularly in the independent gaming community,” said Glenn “Commander” Banton, newly appointed Executive Director of Operation Supply Drop. “It's gratifying to see so many major players stepping up to kick off this program. In addition to the great inaugural bundle from Robot Entertainment, Team Meat, Uber Entertainment, Young Horses, Iron Galaxy, and Tripwire Interactive have also already pledged their significant support.”

“We’ve been supporting and following the efforts of Operation Supply Drop for quite some time. Indie Ammo Box gives us a great way to increase our involvement and maximize the impact of our contributions, while offering something of high value to gamers,” said Justin Korthof, Community Manager at Robot Entertainment. “To be the first publisher asked to offer a bundle for Indie Ammo Box and directly support our fighting men and women is quite an honor and we are thrilled to expand our involvement with Operation Supply Drop.”

The Robot Entertainment Bundle includes the following games in their entirety, downloadable on Steam: Orcs Must Die, Orcs Must Die 2, Hero Academy, and Echo Prime. Gamers can name their price, but can pay over the current average to unlock the soundtrack for Orcs Must Die and additional downloadable content (DLC) packs for Orcs Must Die and Orcs Must Die 2.
