Shapeit 3D Printed Game Figurine (Toy Review)

Shapeit is a new company that specializes in creating 2D and 3D figures of video game and sketch characters. The company is now looking for backers on Kickstarter and is offering plenty of bonuses for early backers. Figures can be purchased for as low as $43, and the process is very easy for gamers. All the company needs to print a character is a screenshot captured from the game of the character gamers want to recreate. Gamers then choose size, color and other options, and Shapeit will do the rest.

We had a chance to get our very own Shapeit figure recently. We were more than impressed with the figure itself, and we were surprised with how fast the toy arrived to our door. In just a week or two after contacting the company, we were in possession of our very own, highly detailed BioGamer Girl figure.

The figure is made from a special sandstone that is durable and has a unique texture to boot. The figure was ordered fully colored, and the delivered figure matched our sketch perfectly. Shapeit did an excellent job of created a 3D figure from our 2D drawing, and the figure even came attached with a base to help balance out the figure free of charge. We can easily recommend fans get their own Shapeit figure modeled after their favorite game character. The highly detailed work covers everything from tiny little fingers on the character's hands to waves in her hair, so we're sure the company would make any character look good.

Shapeit figures are currently available to order in 1.5", 2.75" and 4" sizes. The different sizes uses different materials to craft the figures, but each looks good and is durable enough to keep the figures from breaking easily. Fans can choose anything from an in-game character, to a sketch they designed themselves. This is a great way for gamers to show off their favorite characters or even for tabletop gamers to create custom Dungeons & Dragons figures to use on game night. The possibilities are really only limited to the imagination of the customer, and Shapeit will deliver on the product requested. Check out figures from Shapeit today, and don't forget to show your support for the company on Kickstarter.

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
