The Voodoo Fix Releases New EP Step Right Up

The Voodoo Fix has announced the release of their new EP entitled Step Right Up. The new release features six songs with a sampling of the music found in a new trailer below. Read on to learn more.

From the Press Release
Los Angeles' acclaimed rock outfit, The Voodoo Fix, announce the release of their new EP, "Step Right Up," available now. Having achieved national buzz through relentless touring and recording in Nashville, "Step Right Up" represents the band's most creative and appealing release yet. Without abandoning their blues-rock roots, the album's diverse sound recalls the modern styling of The Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr., and The Roots while showcasing a unique sound of their own.

Originating in Los Angeles and anchored by a steady rhythm section that includes Louis Armstrong's great grandson, The Voodoo Fix has become a mainstay rock band at festivals throughout the U.S after sharing the stage with blues icons Buddy Guy and Johnny Winter. The Voodoo Fix will be embarking on a U.S. Fall tour in support of the new record.

"Step Right Up" features six original songs flowing with soulful vocals, howling guitars, heavy grooves, and subject matter that reflects on heartbreak, financial hardship, and the band's experiences on the road. The struggles of everyday life appear in songs like "Save Me" and "Rock Bottom," while the internal battle with one's ego takes its course on the hard-charging single "Hard to Change." "The Curse" is a heartbroken lament disguised in the form of an anthemic party song and the band shows their sly sense of humor with the slinky funk of "Chocolate."

"Step Right Up" is available exclusively through The Voodoo Fix's website here.

"Step Right Up" Track Listing:

1. Hard To Change (Let It Go)
2. Save Me
3. Chocolate
4. Rock Bottom
5. The Curse
6. Sun Won't Shine
