Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Gets DLC Adding New Decepticons, Weapons and More

Activision has announced the release of brand-new DLC items for your downloading pleasure for Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (read review). The new content will give players a slew of new stuff such as three new Decepticons, two powerful new weapons and much more. Read on.

We’re here to let you know that Activision Publishing, Inc. has launched several new DLC items for its most recent major release, TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE DARK SPARK, adding even more fuel to the conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons in this third-person action-adventure.


Available for sale now on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Games Store and Steam, the new suite of TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE DARK SPARK DLC offers the option to purchase individual weapons and TRANSFORMERS or to obtain the whole set in one go as a discounted bundle. The items are available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC platforms and include:

  • 3 new Decepticons for the game’s cooperative multiplayer survival mode – Escalation – priced at $1.99 each:
    • Stinger
    • Skywarp
    • Thundercracker
  • 2 powerful new weapons to add to your arsenal in Campaign or Escalation for $0.99 each:
    • The space-bending distortion field of the Glass Gas Cannon, which lifts opponents helplessly into the air to be picked off one by one
    • The Electro Bolter, which impales enemies with the unstoppable kinetic energy of a long-range harpoon
  • And finally, the Dark Spark Battle Pack, combining all of the above characters and weapons into one download for $5.99.

TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE DARK SPARK is out now on PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Nintendo’s Wii U system, Nintendo 3DS hand-held system & Windows PC.
