Atari®, one of the world's most recognized publishers and producers of interactive entertainment, today joins a full line up of developers, celebrities, and PC gaming fans from around the world participating in NVIDIA’s GAME24 event. The event kicks off Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. PDT, and Atari is taking the stage at 12 a.m. PDT Friday as part of the event’s livestream, to showcase exclusive gameplay from its upcoming PC title Alone in the Dark: Illumination™. GAME24 is a global celebration of all things PC gaming, featuring live events from cities including Los Angeles, Shanghai, Stockholm and London, and additional virtual stages around the world – for the unprecedented 24-hour event being livestreamed, tune into game24.nvidia.com.
NVIDIA invited Atari to participate in the festivities to show off the next-gen graphics, mesmerizing lighting effects and killer action from its upcoming survival horror title Alone in the Dark: Illumination™, set for release in Fall 2014. Currently in development by Pure F.P.S., Alone in the Dark: Illumination™ is the next installment in the legendary survival horror series Alone in the Dark®, in which a group of up to four characters fight their way through the darkness-infested town of Lorwich, using weapons, magic and the power of illumination to beat back the monstrous hordes.
This marks the first time Atari will showcase Alone in the Dark: Illumination™ gameplay to the general public in advance of a title’s release, with the livestream highlighting key features including:
